We had the privilege of meeting Farah at one of our recent refugee events. On why he is strong he said: "I have done a lot of hard things. I learned how to play soccer, speak English, and moved to the U.S. Someday, everyone will have to do something that’s hard. It is easier to learn to do things the right way while you are young. If you do, then you will be ready to be an adult. If I want to be good at something, I have to study and practice more. I feel better when I try my best. I feel courageous. I feel like I can do anything."
With the New Year approaching, let us take Farah's words to heart and resolve to work towards our goals. Don't let anything get in your way!
